*AWARDS NIGHT*

The Tinteáin Theatre, Ballybunion was the venue for the 2017 Awards Night,
the 12th for St.Joseph's Secondary School, Ballybunion on Thursday night
May 11th. Organised by Mrs. Moriarty and her hard working committee, no
stone was left unturned to make this night an excellent showcase of the
talented students in the school.The awards were presented for all
achievements in the school eg. Craft, Art, Sport, Extra curricular
activities, choir, magazine, Academic, and Enterprise. The awards of the
night were the coveted Jack O'Sullivan Junior Student Award which was won
by Rachel Hanrahan and Senior Student of the Year Marissa Molyneaux. The
School Choir gave an outstandinfg performance on the night as did the top
two couples in the TY Strictly Come Dancing event, Congratulations to all
the award winners, Amber Mc Sweeney who designed the lovely Programme, the
entertainers and the hard working group of people who made the night such a
success. We are eternally grateful to the generous sponsors; St.Joseph's
Parents Association, Mr. Dan Aherne - Beale Hill Wind farm,Mr. Liam and
Mrs.Angela Bunyan and Noirín Bn Uí Chatháin. Buíochas ó chroí to
guests/speakers, Mr. J O'Donovan, Mr. P.Byrne, Mr, J.Kennelly, Ms

*STATE EXAMINATIONS*

The very best of luck to the Sixth and Third year students who are studying
for their exams in a few weeks time. Hoping that they will reap the rewards
of their years of hard work.

*SCHOOL MAGAZINE*

The school magazine committee of fifth years guided by Mr. Purtill and Miss
N Kelly had their excellent edition for Sale at the Awards Night . It can
be purchased in school from any of the committee for 10 euro. Well done on
their professional copy produced.
